Write for iPhonespaz!
Come on... You know you want to!
We'll make it easy. In fact, we'll give you three ways to make it easy^3.
1. Submit a Spaz Report
You know what we're talking about, right?
This is where you alert us to some crazy-ass thing someone is doing with their iPhone (or did to it, with it, and so on). If it's happening live, you might want to drop us a note on Twitter - @iphonespaz.
Alternatively, you can fill out our dandy Spaz Report over on Google. The form makes it easy. You just rinse and repeat. We do the work.
2. Be the Spaz...
If you're the Spaz reporting yourself, start with the Spaz Report form. This is where you tell us why you're just the spaz for us to profile. Want more info on this? Read "Are You Spazzy Enough for iPhonespaz?"
If you're totally over the top for the iPhone, you might consider becoming a regular Spazster here on iPhonespaz. Yeah, that's right. You, yes you, could join the ranks of the Spazsters and get your very own iPhonespaz t-shirt (when they're available). How do you do it? Just pitch us on an idea for a story. Say you want to do a "How the iPhone Changed My Life" post or maybe a "tips and tricks" thing. Tell us why you're just the Spaz to do it and we'll help you take it from there.
Oh, and we pay for app reviews...
3. Writing App Reviews for iPhonespaz
Want to test some great new app but don't want to fork over the dough? Write a review for us and the thing pays for itself. Just that simple (assuming we accept the article).
Here's how it works:
- You pitch us by email on the app you want to review. Give us the high points in just a few sentences, just enough for us to green light it.
- You buy the app. Do your thing. Write the review and take screenshots.
- Send us the review and the full size images.
- If we like it, we pay via PayPal. If we don't like it, we tell you if it's fixable. If not, well, sorry about your luck.
**Note: Once you've written a few app reviews for us, we'll be happy to gift you the bread up front for the apps. If you really, really, can't front the purchase, send us writing samples and such. We might be able to work something out.
More specific guidelines:
- App reviews should be at least 400 words. For apps over $1.99, plan on adding 100 words for each $1.
- Images should be screen captures from your phone. Include at least 4. More the better.
- Be spaztastic. You bought it for a reason, right? Tell us why you're going to use it, or how it changed your life. If you hated it, don't be shy. The site's called iPhonespaz. Be a spaz.
That's it! Pretty simple, huh? Let's talk iphonespaz@gmail.com.
